Crazy Bird

This crazy bird is popping up in my artwork again. I think I understand now, he's like an early link between dinosaurs and birds... representing some sort of connection between the ancient past and the near future in a transitory and troubled world. He's waiting.

This piece was done with water soluble crayons on wet paper, and I love the way this medium can capture excitement and motion in 20 minutes. The crayons blended even better than I thought they would, the colors are really rich and vibrant. 5 1/2" x 8".
